What are the latest insurance carrier tools and what does that mean for you? In the past your insurance agent would ask a bunch of questions about your property, then inspect it and then the company would sometimes double inspect it. Today, carriers have tools available that allow them to quickly view property to make sure it qualifies and that you have all the coverage you need in place. Carriers in some cases can scope out your roof damage without setting foot on your roof. You can even get discounts from drive tracking programs you can use via app with most carriers adding value to your policy and to the industry as a whole so we can better gauge the average driver's habits. As tools get more sophisticated so does the rating of your home and auto. And how they pay my clients has gotten way easier with auto deposit and debit card offerings when a large loss hits. I love that the industry is growing in technology. It offers quicker access to settlements, smarter adjusting, and gives real-time underwriting views to the carrier all at the same time. In insurance, the future is a win win for both. Heather
