Just as a quick reminder, any time you file a claim on your own personal auto policy your deductible will apply up front regardless of fault. Your carrier may recover during the subrogation process if you are not at fault, but it is not guaranteed you will receive the deductible back or in full. If you believe you are not at fault for an incident you can file on the other driver's insurance policy to avoid out of pocket deductibles, but you need the other drivers information name, address, driver's license info, the vehicle info, and the other driver's insurance policy info, so you need to dig deeper while on site if you think you want to file with the at fault drivers carrier. If you have any questions, email me Heather@brooksoninsurance.com we are always giving the best advice, we have so you are welcome any time.
