In light of recent tornado activity in Indiana I remembered a tip I had not shared in a long time. Inventory your personal property any way you can. We have plenty of modern technology we can use. our phones take great photos and video. Take a moment to walk around your home and really detail what you have. Most carriers have an online inventory you can fill out, but the average homeowner does not have the time to do that. But a camera and phone video is a good option. Set the camera to roll and walk around take video and talk a bit about what you have. I always welcome saving a copy for my clients as well so they have it and we do should something happen. A personal home inventory is a great way to have your claim documentation ready to go should you suffer a loss. The more proof you have to document what you have the better. And that's our tip of the week. Check out more online by googling making a great home personal property inventory. there are tons of free forms and ideas out there. I've got some to share too, so reach out to me if you need a quick home inventory guide. Go make your inventory gang!
